LADY GRITS RALLY IN THE FINAL INNING!!!

I wish I had pictures of last night's game, but left the camera.

Savannah plays softball for the Lady Grits (ages 11-12). Last night they played Waccamaw. 1st inning Savannah is playing left field. There two outs, runners on
1st & 3rd. The girl at bat hits it to left field, Savannah runs and back hands it for the out. I caught myself jumping up yelling, "That's my baby"!!!!

Her first up to bat she nails it high in the air to left field for a base hit. There are runners on all the bases. She pretends to steal and gets the pictcher to throw at her, allowing the other runners to score. They got her out, but she did her job. Making the score 2-1.

Her next at bat was also a nice hit for a base hit. But no more runs. Going into the last innings Waccamaw scores 3 more making it 2-5 with our last at bat, BUT the top of our line up.

We rally and tie the ball game. Savannah comes up to bat. With her great batting tonight they decide to walk her. But a wild pitch, the runner on 3rd came home and the Lady Grits take the victory 6-5.
