Day 1 - Stuck in the sandbar.
Ray, Maria, Jake, myself, Brandon, Danielle & Savannah took off on Sunday afternoon to hang out of the sandbar. Shelby didn't feel very well so she said back at the house with Jody.
The kids had fun wading in the water.
The wildlife in Beaufort is gorgeous.
Brandon decided to take a stroll and got stuck.
Savannah came over to give a hand.
Jake had a blast on the sandbar as well and enjoy eating fruit.
The boat ride home was cold.
Jake learns to drive the boat.
Look at that bottom lip. This boy is serious about his boat driving skills, JUST LIKE HIS DADDY!!!
Once we got back to the dock, the kids start jumping off it.
Day 2 - FUN IN THE SUN
Ray & Jody take the kids out to water ski and tubing. Shelby is still under the weather and stays home with me.
Savannah & Danielle are ready to go.
Brandon likes to water ski instead.
Jody decides he wants a turn.
Back at the dock, Jody tries his hand at fishing.
He caught something and calls for Savannah to get the net.
It's a stingray, they throw it back.
This beautiful brown pelican came by to say hello. This is one of the many reasons I love going to Beaufort. We also saw several dolphins on our boat trips.
More jumping of the dock. They love to show me their different moves.

Shelby started to feel better so she decided to join the others.

This was the cutest thing. Savannah sat in front of Jake and her ponytail was dripping water. Jake was amazed with the single drops falling. He tried to catch them as they fell.
Day 3 - Fun on the lake
Tuesday morning Ray & Jody went out early fishing.
The kids had a blast jumping off the dock. Shelby still didn't feel well. She stayed inside.
Jody & Shelby went home early because Jody had to work the next day. Shelby wanted to go to the lock in at the church on Thursday.
Before Shelby left, Maria took her out on the kayak.

Tuesday evening, Ray took the kids back out on the lake to water ski & tubeing.
Day 4 - Hunting Island State Park
On Wednesday I took the kids to Hunting Island where they climbed the lighthouse and went to the beach for a while.
Savannah walks around the entire top. She is not afraid of heights like her mom.

It looks pretty, but there were a lot of rocks on the ground. Both Brandon & Savannah got small cuts on their feet. They didn't go back in.
I love this tent. It is SPF 50!!! It has enough room for two chairs. Even the kids loved going in it.

DAY 5 - Babysitting Jake for Ray & Maria
To thank Ray & Maria for letting us stay with them, we watched Jake so they could have an afternoon to themselves.
By Thursday the kids were exhausted. They stayed inside most of the day watching old game shows on the GAME SHOW network. They also broke out the board games.
Storms came up in the afternoon. You can see the dark clouds in the background.
Thanks again Ray & Maria for a great week!! Can't wait to do it again.
